PRCA is the highest-paying American rodeo organization in the world. It sanctions rodeos in 37 U.S. states and 3 Canadian provinces. It’s championship event is the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. In conjunction with the PRCA event, there will also be women’s barrel racing sanctioned by WPRA (Women’s Professional Rodeo Association).
This association with PRCA will allow for top riders, drawing Cowboys from Idaho, Washington, Oregon and Montana. Sandpoint, ID will be part of the Columbia River Circuit and we will also co-sanction with the Montana Circuit. We will be bringing a top PRCA stock contractor, along with award winning bullfighters.
Our goal as a rodeo committee is to achieve a higher level of entertainment for the family and community, as well as providing a look into the heritage of the western cowboy. With all the technology in today’s world, the elements of a rodeo can help bring us all back to the more basic, down to earth, ways of life.
The Bonner County Rodeo Committee, along with the Bonner County Fairgrounds, has diligently been working hard to elevate the quality of the many elements required to facilitate our rodeo, such as the arena and surrounding exterior structures.
We are excited and looking forward to this new adventure and welcome everyone, whether it be contestants or spectators, to plan your August schedule and attend our PRCA rated Bonner County Rodeo on the dates of August 4 & 5, 2017!
